Orchard Pond Bed & Breakfast is in the pretty village of Whittlesford, near Cambridge - www.whittleweb.org.uk. With excellent transport links, it’s very convenient for both business and holiday visitors.

A short drive or train ride takes you to the beautiful city of Cambridge, with its magnificent university colleges, winding cobbled streets and the picturesque River Cam where you can try your hand at punting.

Our B&B is also near Duxford's Imperial War Museum, with its spectacular air shows; the historic market towns of Saffron Walden and Bury St Edmunds; and the world-famous horse-racing at Newmarket.

For business visitors, we’re only 10-15 minutes from Granta Park, The Welding Institute, Chesterford Research Park, Genome Campus, Sanger Institute and Babraham Research Campus. We’re also well-placed if you’re flying from Stansted Airport, and can offer some free long- and short-term parking.

Whittlesford itself is a lovely village to explore. Once home to Roger Ascham, tutor to Elizabeth I, it features a beautiful and historic village green and a magnificent parish church dating back to the 11th century. There are also three excellent pubs.

We’re always delighted to help you make the most of your visit by recommending local attractions and entertainment, and we can often give you a lift to the local train station or to Duxford Airfield.

Orchard Pond Bed & Breakfast is just one mile from Junction 10 of the M11 motorway. Duxford Imperial War Museum 3 minutes, Cambridge 15 minutes, Stansted Airport 30 minutes, Bury St Edmunds 30 minutes, Newmarket 30 minutes, London 1 hour.

The B&B is less than 10 minutes' walk from Whittlesford Parkway train station. Cambridge 6 minutes, Stansted Airport 40 minutes, London 1 hour.

There are regular bus services from Whittlesford to Cambridge and all across the area.

We have two bicycles which you’re welcome to borrow free of charge. The area is great for cycling: it’s relatively flat and has an extensive cycle route network.
